Care Tips and Instructions for Stones on String Jewelry

As with all products, the longer they last depends on the care you give them! Here are some helpful hints to keep your jewelry looking beautiful.

1. For sterling silver, regular polishing with a non-abrasive silver polishing cloth will keep your pieces shiny.

You can order these online or get them at your local jewelry shops and department stores. Soap and

water will also keep your silver looking good. Always use a soft cloth to dry your silver off and to avoid

scratches.

2. An Ionic Cleaner can be used to clean your jewelry, it is safe for just about all Gems, Crystals and

Pearls. Do not put hematite in an Ionic Cleaner. Do not put Pearls an an Ultrasonic Cleaner.

3. When you are not wearing your jewelry, store it in a cool, dry place. Air causes tarnishing over time. If you

store your pieces in a ziplock bag or air tight jewelry box, it will slow down this process.

4. Avoid abrasive cleaners, detergents and commercial jewelry cleaners "dips" especially if the pieces have

an oxidized finish. Using harsh polishing cleaners will alter the antique look of your jewelry.

5. It is best if you do not wear your jewelry to bed, swimming or while doing housework.
